What Illinois Allows

Sedans: 35% VLT minimum on all side windows and the rear. SUVs, vans, and trucks: 50% on the front sides, then anything you want behind the driver — legally black cargo glass is fine. Illinois allows a nonreflective tint strip on the top 6 inches of the windshield (625 ILCS 5/12-503). There's a medical exemption through the Secretary of State if you qualify. We strip the old film cleanly — adhesive and all — before installing new. Ask for removal pricing when you call.

Do you take cars on Sundays?

Will dark tint get me pulled over?

Legal film won't give an officer a reason. We install to Illinois spec and tell you exactly what VLT is going on your car, in writing on your invoice.

How soon can I drive after the install?
